Rita Vaswani, the Nevada State Bank Vice President is also the founding president of the Las Vegas India Chamber of Commerce and serves as an Executive Board member of the Women’s Chamber of Commerce of Nevada. Rita was appointed to a Federal post, Congressional Awards Board of Nevada by Senator Reid. In addition, she has provided public relations support for Friends of India; served as a government affairs official for the Asian Chamber of Commerce; has been on the board of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and the Chinatown Lions Association. Both Nevada Governors Guinn and Miller appointed Rita to major state positions of importance.

Radha Chanderraj, ESQ

Vice President

Radha Chanderraj, a native of Bombay, India migrated to the United States in 1981. She is in the private practice of law and was a previous member of the Nevada Gaming Commission. Ms. Chandarraj graduated Cum Laude from the William S. Boyd School of Law (of UNLV) and holds a Masters of Business Administration with emphasis in healthcare administration from the University of California at Irvine, and along with a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Law degrees from the University of Bombay in Bombay, India.

Bindi Parikh

Secretary

Bindi specializes in all kinds of employment based and investment based visa petitions. Her sphere of experience extends to helping high-profile businesses secure the right talent from abroad. Her prior employment includes having worked for prominent immigration law firms in Southern California. Bindi started her career at a prominent Solicitor’s Office in Mumbai, India before she moved to the United States. In Mumbai she practiced Intellectual and Property and Business Litigation.

Vimla Lendway

Assistant Treasurer

Vimla was born in Sind, India (now in Pakistan), to parents whose marriage was blessed Mahatma Gandi. She moved when India was separated in 1947. She came to the United States as a young single lady and has grown up and made her life. Then she met and married her husband who is an American. They have been married for over 35 years. She joined the travel business in 1970 and opened her own agency in 1976. She operated in Los Angeles for 25 years before moving.

Dipti Shah, MD

VP/Membership/Event

Dr. Dipti Shah is a board certified, practicing physician in Las Vegas, specializing in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. She is also the owner and medical director of University Urgent Care, which is a centrally-located walk-in facility. On staff at St. Rose Hospital, UMC and Valley Hospital, she completed her medical training at the University of Missouri-Kansas City’s six year accelerated program BA/MD program. She moved to Las Vegas in 2007. She was awarded one of “America’s Top Physicians” in 2012 by the Consumer Research Council. Most recently she was appointed by the Governor to the Nevada Health Board. She is married to Russell J. Shah, MD, a practicing neurologist and has three children, Aarti, Radhika, and Amar. Outside of medicine, she enjoys music and singing as a hobby.

Deepak Shroff

Deepak Shroff has been in Las Vegas since 2001 and is the Managing Partner at Integra IT Solutions LLC and has over 20 years of experience in the IT consulting field with Infrastructure, Architecture and Software Development, Integra provides services in the area of IT Managed Services, Network Design, Implementation and Management, IP based Phone systems, Custom Software development and Healthcare IT including Electronic Health Records and Practice Management Systems.

Seena Sood, MD

VP/Wellness & Yoga

A board certified and recertified Internal Medicine physician and mother of two wonderful daughters, Dr. Seena Bhargava Sood has resided in the Las Vegas area for the past 15 years. During her schooling in India, she attained a Masters degree in the Indian Classical Dance form of Kathak and graduated from the University College of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, India with honors. In her twenty years of practice, she has been awarded a Certificate of Commendation from the United States Senate in 2006 and, a Certificate of Recognition from the City of Henderson, Nevada.

Meena Dadlaney

VP/Treasurer

Meena Dadlaney was born in Bombay, India. She lived in Dubai from 1976 and in 1984 moved to the United States, lived in New Jersey until the end of 2001 when she moved to Las Vegas. Meena graduated with a Bachelors degree in Business Accounting from MMK College of Commerce in Bombay, India. She has worked as an Accountant for major companies in Dubai and New Jersey, presently she is working for a major medical billing company. Meena is married to Ashok Dadlaney and a mother of two boys, Anoop and Amit.

Barbara Wood

VP/Communications & Marketing

As Roseman University of Health Sciences’ Director of University Relations, Barbara Wood presents fundraising events for student scholarships and Community Outreach for Health, in addition to writing as a member of the university’s “Remedy Magazine” editorial board. Barbara has been a produced playwright, a published poet and a columnist and contributing writer for three magazines. She regularly writes the script. During her business career she has served as the Nevada State Executive Director of the American Heart Association, the Development Director for the MS Society and Property Manager for CB Richard Ellis. She has owned a real estate company, a catering company, a computer company, a training company and a talent agency. Writing is her passion and reading is her pleasure.

Monisha Saxena

Community Relations

Monisha Saxena is dedicated to increasing awareness and global appreciation of the Indian culture, diversity, and heritage. She has served the Indian community in Las Vegas as an active member of the Friends of India organization and the Hindu Temple of Las Vegas. She also has been passionate in her involvement with the Las Vegas India Chamber of Commerce. Monisha received her Masters in Psychology from Punjab University, Chandigarh in India and her Bachelors of Arts from the Government College for Girls in Chandigarh.

Savita Kausahi

Community Relations

Savita Kausahi has experience in volunteering for the Hindu Temple and India Subcontinent community of Las Vegas has helped her gain experience in event coordination, shelter coordination, and food distribution. She is the Co-Cultural Secretary for Friends of India. Savita came to America with her husband in July 1984. She moved to Las Vegas from Chicago, IL in July 1996. She is currently a housewife.

Dilip Patel

Community Relations

Mr. Patel is a Construction Professional and has been involved in Development of Commercial Properties, Medical and Dental Offices, Office Parks and Custom Residences in the Las Vegas Valley for 14 years. His firm has also provided construction related services, project management, construction planning, consulting, supervision and owner representation services to other developers in town. Outside his office, Mr. Patel is also an active citizen and volunteer serving several different non-profit organizations.

Brad Williams

Community Outreach

Brad Williams is originally from Milwaukie, Oregon, where he spent 17 highly successful years in the banking and mortgage industry, subsequently crossing over into Information Technology. He and his wife moved to Las Vegas in 2008 and have enjoyed getting to know the city and surrounding area. Currently Brad works in software development for the Las Vegas-based company, Shift4 Corporation. In 2011, Brad joined the Las Vegas India Chamber of Commerce, hoping to tap into local Indian communities and culture. He quickly learned there are many regions of India represented here in Las Vegas. Brad truly appreciates the culture, history and also the movies from India, and he can often be found at the local theater watching the latest Bollywood film or a cricket mat out at Sunset Park. He has made great friends and contracts through the LVICC and looks forward to continued involvement.
